Why SHG

SHG has a strong academic program that is designed to meet the various needs, demonstrated skills and intellectual maturity of its students. We have 12 Advanced Placement Courses, 29 Honors Courses, and 6 Dual Credit Courses.

There is a place for everyone at SHG. More than 90% of our students are involved in one of the many leadership, extra-curricular activities and sports that keep SHG students involved. Each activity builds leadership skills that will benefit students for years to come. SHG offers more than 30 extracurricular clubs and activities and 20 men’s and women’s athletic teams.

SHG is committed to providing a Dominican Catholic secondary education to anyone who wishes to share in our mission. Any student desiring an SHG education is welcome. SHG is committed to working with families to ensure that any student who wants a Dominican Catholic education receives one.  All students who are eligible to receive tuition assistance can and do through our Student Investment Program.
